Introduction of college: The inspiration to provide educational facilities to the general class of society was instrumental in establishing Shikshan Prasarak Mandal in 1957 under the able leadership of late Shri Shankarlal Khandelwal alias Kakaji Khandelwal.

He was supported by equally inspired people like Late Shri Ratanlalji Agrawal, Late Shri Bhausaheb Godbole, Late Shri Babasaheb Tople, Late Shri Mangilalji Sharma, Shri Vasantrao Kasbekar and other social workers of the society. Executive committee made continuous progress to achieve landmarks from Palana Ghar to Senior College. By the Devotion and commitment of Late Shri. Kakaji and others this small plant of education has blossomed into a grand tree in a very short period. Today as per Shikshan Prasarak Mandal's plan every institution has its own building and other required facilities. There are more than 6,000 students studying in these institutions. The Society works as a sculptor to mould the child of one and quarter year old into the full grown up, cultured young person, able to face the world.The college runs Master of Science (M. Sc. Bioinformatics) with the following subjects Bioinformatics is a multi disciplinary unique blend of life science and computer technology. It deals with the knowledge for automated management of biological data using the tools and techniques of computer science and mathematics
