Applications are invited on plain paper for engagement as Project Assistant Level-II and III on behalf of the sponsor as per following details:

Project Title : “Potential for Carbon Sequestration in Grassland and Afforested Ecosystem using Molecular and Eddy Covariance Techniques”

Prescribed Educational :

P.A. Level — II : M.Sc. in

Environmental Science/ Botany/Microbiology/ Chemistry with minimum 55% marks (relaxation of 5% for SC/ST candidate),

P.A. Level — III : M.Sc. in Environmental Science/ Botany/ Microbiology/ Chemistry with minimum 55% marks (relaxation of 5% for SC/ST candidate) ± Minimum two years research experience in relevant field.

Desirable qualification : Relevant research experience/NET qualified

Fixed Remuneration :

P.A. Level — II Rs. 12,000 /- Per Month

P.A. Level — III Rs. 14,000/- Per Month

Age : 28 years for P.A. level – II and 32 years for P.A. level – III (relaxation in age limit of the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC and women as per Govt. rules)

The engagement is purely on a temporary basis which may be extended or curtailed depending on the duration of the project, satisfactory performance/conduct of the appointee. The engagement will be co-terminus with the project duration. The engagement shall not be an appointment in CSIR/NEERI, temporary or otherwise. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim, implicit or explicit for consideration for regularization/absorption.

Applicants are required to appear for a personal interview before the Selection Committee on December, 2011 at 10.30 A.M. in Room No. 103, at Eco-Restoration Division. No TA will be admissible for appearing for the interview. No Separate interview call letter will be issued. Candidates who do not fulfill the prescribed educational qualification will not be interviewed.
